Residential Service

The Home has capacity to accommodate up to 25 residents. The duration of the stay for residents varies from case to case. It may range from 6 months to several years. The Executive Director of the Home and her staff hold case reviews fortnightly.

Half yearly reviews are held with parents, guardians or referring parties to assess the progress of each resident. Residents are taught basic self-help and housekeeping skills to prepare them for re-integration with the family or for independent living. They are also supported in their academic studies and personal development. This service is normally open only to girls.

Student Care Centre (SCC)

Most of the children come from single-parent low-income families and are mainly females and come from Canossian schools as well as neighbourhood government schools. Residents from the Children's Home and a few children from double-parent families who are pupils of Canossian schools within the Eduplex make up the remaining student population making use of the service.

The service is open to both boys and girls. The majority of the children are between the ages of 6 to 12 years.
